Tutoring

I am available for private tutoring for math and science, all ages. I’ve been tutoring students for over a decade now, both in-person and virtually. Currently I’m based in Mill Valley, CA and I’m happy to host students at my house (conveniently located for Tamalpais High School and Mill Valley Middle School) or come to yours. I’m also more than willing to work with students in the surrounding areas. The majority of my experience to date has been with Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, and Physics, but I am open to all math levels and physical sciences such as Earth Science, Geology, Astronomy, etc.

I did my undergraduate at Stanford in Mechanical Engineering, my masters in Space Studies at the International Space University, and my graduate research in Astrophysics at the University of Cambridge. I have worked in aerospace engineering, radio astronomy, and academia with teaching experience at the University of Cambridge and Columbia University, plus twenty years of informal education and outreach with students at all levels. I excel at making abstract and/or complex ideas accessible and understandable and I believe strongly in inclusive practices to shape math and science, and the world, into a place where everyone can learn, contribute, and thrive. And I absolutely love working with students.
